The Department of Nursing & Health Care at Waterford Institute of Technology is again running the popular two-day taster course for students interested in getting into the field. If you are a sixth or fifth year student and you’re interested in a career in nursing and wonder what it would be like, you can spend two days over the October/November mid term break finding out at WIT’s Try Nursing course.

Try Nursing will take place this year in two sessions:

  • Session 1: Tuesday & Wednesday, 29 & 30 October
  • Session 2: Thursday & Friday, 31 October & 1 November 2019

Due to huge demand, the Try Nursing event is for fifth and sixth year students only. It is an interactive experience into the education and role of a nurse, from their beginning as a student to the vast range of opportunities available in a modern nursing career. Participants will get an opportunity to practice a range of clinical skills in a simulated environment. They will also get a chance to talk with current nursing students and meet qualified nurses from a variety of disciplines.

  • Date: 29 October, 2019 – 01 November, 2019
  • Time: All Day
  • Location: O’Connell Bianconi (Health Sciences) Building, WIT Main Campus
  • Cost: TBC
