To celebrate their 40th year MOY, an established waterproofing full system provider for the roofing sector, have launched a scholarship programme to support Architectural Technologists of the future with 3 leading colleges in Ireland and a UK bursary programme for online submissions. The programme is worth in excess of €10,000 of investment and promises to create stronger industry connections for students as they move from their scholarship year into final year and work placements.

About the MOY Scholarship

MOY has partnered with the Dublin School of Architecture, TU Dublin and its 3rd year BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology students. The scholarship arises from and builds upon an affiliation MOY have had with the Dublin School of Architecture over the past 20 years through industry presentations, site visits and architectural technology graduate engagement initiatives. In announcing details of the scholarship Cormac Allen from TU Dublin said “The Dublin School of Architecture, TU Dublin is delighted to partner with MOY in this exciting new industry-focused scholarship programme. We especially welcome the focus that the MOY scholarship brings to the role of the Architectural Technologist technical designer and specifyer in the Architecture Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. The MOY scholarship will provide welcome financial support for a deserving third year student as they enter their professional practice work placement programme.”

MOY Background

MOY are leading the way in supporting Architectural Technologists of the future and understand the importance of nurturing young talent.  “The MOY scholarship is our way to celebrate blossoming talent and help alleviate some of the acknowledged financial hardship students experience towards achieving their goal.  A further part of the scholarship is a placement with a leading architectural firm which will be matched with the students interest and expertise.  Alongside this will also be onsite training in specialised roofing systems with us at MOY and a selected roofing contractor. We really look forward to developing our affiliation with TU Dublin who we’ve established strong links with over the past number of years through presenting our industry CPD’s to students of architecture and architectural technology” said Cathal Quinn Global Commercial Director.

Application forms will be circulated in September, shortlisting and interviews will be held in October 2019.
