Technological University Dublin’s Creative Commercial Communications degree is the outcome of a unique relationship between TU Dublin and The Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI), and it was designed with substantial input from both industry and academia.

This program spans two semesters and consists of 30 ECTS credits split between two modules: Business Research Methods (5 credits) and Creative Commercial Communications Consultancy Project (5 credits).

The Business Research Methods module is intended to assist you in addressing the issues of defining and establishing research objectives, starting a research project, evaluating and selecting appropriate approaches (including methods), and coming to a sound, rigorous conclusion. It prepares individuals to conduct independent research by improving their research abilities.

Participants must complete a real-time project on behalf of a commercial communications firm as part of the Consultancy Project, which is an innovative and practical component of the program. The majority of participants are expected to perform a project on behalf of their sponsoring organization. Some participants, on the other hand, may select an organization or industry sector that is appropriate to their next career stage. With the help of a practitioner mentor and an academic supervisor, you will work independently.

Each module on the Postgraduate Diploma may also be taken as a short CPD Certificate program, however, you must complete the first module, CPD in Contemporary Marketing and Communications, before undertaking the other CPD modules and the last module, CPD in Leadership in Commercial Creativity, may only be taken when all other modules are completed.

Career Options

Students who study creative commercial communications learn to evaluate the requirements and preferences of readers, viewers, and listeners. They have the imagination to come up with novel ways to communicate their messages.

Communications majors learn how to plan, manage, and execute initiatives, programs, and events. They must be meticulous in their attention to detail while still comprehending the big picture. Because communications efforts are frequently criticized and fail, communications majors learn to accept negative feedback and deal with less-than-successful ventures. Your final decision on a career in communications will be impacted by your interests, talents, and values, but here are some intriguing options to consider.
