Hear (Higher Education Access Route) is a special admissions scheme for applicants from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. A large number of colleges and universities apply this scheme. School leavers who provide the necessary evidence regarding their family’s financial circumstances are eligible to compete for a quota of places allocated to applicants on a reduced points basis in these colleges.
