What is Business Management?

Business Management is the directing of the operations of a business and the bigger economic picture. It has a focus on important business basics such as business communication, leadership, and management theory, and ethical decision-making.

Business management skills include the knowledge and know-how to apply statistical analysis to business decisions to guide the long and short-term plans of an enterprise. Business Managers will also have the responsibility of managing the personnel and teams within the business and deal with all interpersonal issues such as conflict resolution and diplomacy.

Studying Business Management in college

Business Management courses are available to do part-time, full time or night courses so you can study at your convenience and work around your schedule. Courses can take place over a few months or can be fully-fledged degrees that take 3-4 years depending on the type, of course, you have chosen.

Courses are theoretical with a focus on knowledge-based assessments and examinations. You may have assignments and projects to complete on your own or in groups.
