Inchicore College invites YOU to come to Inchicore College Open Day on January 25th. 10am – 5pm and find out more about how you can create your future.

Making decisions about what you do next in education, training and career can be difficult, but one of the best things you can do, to help you plan, is to go to open days. And Inchicore College Open Day is coming soon!

Coming to Inchicore College Open Day will give you a real feel for the college and for college life. See where you could be next year, meet teachers and current students and get a real insight into the course you want to do.

And if you are not sure what you want to do next – all the more reason to come in and see what is on offer. You might discover a new path you never thought was possible.

On the day, there will be:

  • introductory talks
  • demonstrations of practical work
  • exhibitions and performances by our students
  • opportunities to discuss your options with staff
  • a chance to explore our building and facilities

Drop in anytime between 10am and 5pm. You’re sure to get a warm welcome!

 


Inchicore College of Further Education is one of the biggest providers of further education courses in Ireland and has been at the forefront of further education development since 1984.

The college offers a wide range of courses in a number of disciplines:

  • Sports
  • Business and Computers
  • Tourism
  • Creative Arts
  • Performing Arts
  • Childcare
  • Healthcare and Nursing Studies
  • Social Care
  • Adult and Community

Facilities at the college include computer rooms, internet access, gymnasium, language laboratory, canteen, two dance studios, recording studio, student library, college theatre, study facility.

The Sports Hall and leisure complex incorporates a P.E. hall, new gym, aerobic studio, crèche and all-weather pitches.

All courses are offered to full certification allowing further progression though the Higher Education Links Scheme. Many courses also offer BTEC Higher National Diploma certification.

Students participate in many sports and cultural activities throughout the academic year and there are also opportunities for foreign exchanges with students from France, Italy, Spain and other EU countries.

The college offers a friendly and supportive environment and qualifying students are eligible to apply for the PLC Maintenance Grant. A full career guidance service is available as well as counselling, educational and special needs support services.

Students who choose Further Education find that the qualifications they can get provide them with many options. Students can use qualifications awarded by to apply for courses in higher education, in many cases being able to accumulate points that they did not achieve at Leaving Certificate.
