Moate Business College
Moate Business College provides further education, post leaving certificate (PLC) courses to the population of the Irish midlands.
From small beginnings in 1991 the college has grown to its current maximum capacity of almost 500 full-time students.
On completion of the Irish Leaving Certificate (end of secondary school examination) or its equivalent, students are entitled to apply to MBC for a place on one of its 12 courses.
A Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) Level 5 qualification takes one year and a QQI Level 6 qualification can be secured in a subsequent year on successful completion of the Level 5.
MBC works tirelessly for the benefit of its students and will do it’s utmost to provide the best further education possible.
Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) and Moate Business College have signed a cooperation agreement which will offer enhanced access and progression for students in the midlands.
Central to the agreement is the commitment to developing enabling modules for further education and training (FET) Level 5 and Level 6 students at Moate Business College which will equip them for progression to AIT.
