Entry RequirementsApplicants should have reached the statutory school leaving age (16+). QQI Level 4 Major Award, Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Leaving Certificate Science subject to Ordinary Level or equivalent. Mature applicant route available. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, including verbal, numerical and written command of the English language. Common European Framework B1 or equivalent required. Garda vetting is a requirement for this programme and participation is subject to a satisfactory outcome of the Garda vetting process. Non-EU/EEA applicants must have permission to work/study in Ireland.
Carear PathThis course provides learners with the theoretical and practical skills necessary to pursue a nursing, midwifery or a caring career. On successful completion, learners will have the skills, knowledge and competence to work under supervision in a variety of healthcare settings. Learners may also progress to a variety of nursing related degrees at Universities and Institutes of Technology nationally and in the U.K.
