Programmes in this field seek to unearth various concepts by utilising reason and logic. You will look at ideas surrounding existence, ethics, nature and knowledge to ultimately gain a greater understanding of the world we live in. There are a number of options available for anyone interested in taking Philosophy at degree level. You can choose to study Philosophy alone, or in conjunction with subjects such as Law, Political Science, Economics or Sociology. It is also an optional subject on most general Arts programmes.
