Thinking of getting ‘professionalised’? The Open Training College is still open for applications for its BA in Applied Social Studies (Disability) courses commencing September 2015.

‘Learning Together’

The Open Training College provides accredited training to people employed, or seeking employment, in the disability/human service and non-profit sectors across Ireland, using an approach developed specifically for people who need to balance their work, life and learning commitments.

The College wishes to help prepare social care workers to meet the challenges arising out of the implementation of the HIQA Standards and Regulations which demands a workforce that has the knowledge and skills to deliver improved services’ comments Raymond Watson, Head of eLearning at the Open Training College.

The Open Training College’s ‘LEARNING TOGETHER’ approach to training – built on 20+ years of collaboration with students and the more than 120 organisations in the sector – has created a unique environment in which people can learn and work together in ways that make a real difference to their career and to service users’ quality of life.
