Science Week 2026 will take place across Ireland from 8 to 15 November, with hundreds of events exploring this year's theme, Water: From Molecule to Ocean.
The nationwide programme will offer opportunities for people of all ages to discover more about the science of water, from the behaviour and properties of individual molecules to the vital role played by oceans, rivers and wetlands in the natural world.
Through festivals, activities, demonstrations and events taking place around the country, Science Week aims to make science accessible and encourage curiosity about the world. This year's theme highlights the many ways water shapes our environment, supports life and connects different areas of scientific research.
Students, families and anyone with an interest in science can explore the programme and find events taking place in their local area.
