Rossa College of Further Education is again offering seven QQI or FETAC level 5 and 6 courses all of which are characterised by their practical nature as well as the relevant and up to date experiences they provide. Work experience is an integral part of each of the courses and we have established strong links between the College and local employers.

The College offers a unique educational experience which is open to all, regardless of educational background.  The campus boasts excellent facilities, a dedicated and experienced staff as well as a supportive atmosphere. Now that second level students are moving to the newly built Skibbereen Community School, Rossa College will have a more ‘third level’ feel to it.

At Level 5 this year we are offering a new course eBusiness. This is in response to the increasing focus on Skibbereen as a digital hub. This offering has been enhanced by a complete revamp of the computer suite and the installation of new computers along with wifi access. Students have the option of progressing to the Level 6 Business course following completion of the eBusiness course.

We are continuing to offer Healthcare and the College has also had a fully refurbished and equipped Healthcare facility put in place. Art Craft and Design continues to be a very popular course and is delivered by practising artists culminating in an end of year exhibition. Students have the option of progressing to our Level 6 Art course for a further year of study.

Horticulture is also a popular choice and the College has its own gardens and polytunnels perfect for this course. Last but certainly not least is our Level 5 our ever popular Childcare course. This is the minimum requirement for employment working with children and graduates are constantly in demand.

Rossa College courses have a proven record in providing students with a gateway to employment and as a stepping stone to further education. Indeed, Rossa College has an established reputation in the West Cork region for producing confident and enthusiastic students who are equipped with the necessary skills/qualifications required to go on to University/Institutes of Technology or to enter the workforce.
