A Rathmines College Open Day is taking place on Thursday, 26th January from 1.00  – 4.00 p.m. at Town Hall building

The open days will give Guidance Counsellors and students the opportunity to talk to Heads of Departments in Accounting, Arts & Social Science, Business & Marketing, Computer Programming, Legal Studies, Media, Office Administration and Repeat Leaving Certificate.

Guidance Counsellors will be available to talk about the excellent supports Rathmines College can offer students and the exciting academic and career progression options open to QQI and Professional Accounting graduates.

Please contact aisling.breen@rc.cdetb.ie if you would like to organise a visit from Rathmines College to talk with your 6th Year students or arrange for a group of your 6th Year students to come to one of our Open Days.


Rathmines College of Further Education runs 1 and 2 year courses certified at QQI Levels 5/6 or by relevant professional bodies.

The college offers courses in Business, Journalism, Office Administration, Accountancy, IT, Liberal Arts, English Language and much more. Courses at Rathmines College of Further Education are 1 or 2 year programmes and are fully certified at QQI levels 5/6 or by relevant professional bodies.

Rathmines College of Further Education is located in a very vibrant suburb of Dublin with plenty of accommodation available in the vicinity. It is an area characterised by young dynamic people from all over the world who are either working or studying in the area. As well as the college library and study facilities students can access the excellent Rathmines Public Library to assist them with research and study. For the students of Rathmines College of Further Education, there is always somewhere close at hand to meet friends for coffee. Rathmines is a very lively venue by night and at the weekends.

Rathmines College has a long established and admired reputation as a centre of learning. Providing courses since 1902, the college has developed an excellent reputation with employers, accrediting bodies, students past and present, parents, the local community and other education institutions.

Taking a course in Rathmines College is often just the first step for students. Internal progression from QQI Level 5 Awards to Advanced Certificates QQI Level 6 and BTEC Higher National Diplomas for example are a popular option for students and many external progression links are established and facilitated by the college. Graduates of courses can become eligible for entry to Universities and from some courses receive exemptions onto degree programmes.
