NUI Galway Short Online Courses in February: The NUI Galway Centre for Adult Learning and Professional Development offers a series of short, online, non-accredited courses in a number of different subject areas. Designed for students with an interest in the subjects on offer, these courses may provide you with an opportunity to find out more about your subject areas and also to experience the world of lifelong learning.






FEB 2021

The short courses start the week beginning 1st February and are run online over 8 weeks, one evening per week (7 – 8.30pm). The mode of delivery will be a combination of:

  • Live, online classes and an opportunity to engage with your lecturer and fellow students
  • Pre-recorded presentations, viewed in the student’s own time followed by online classes with a questions and answers session facilitated by your short course lecturer

From the Border to Brexit: A History of Northern Ireland
Create your own Podcast: An introduction

Tuesdays (7-8:30pm)

Brush up your French
Beginners Italian
Seven Ages, Eight Taoisigh: Irish political history, 1922-1992
European Cinema: An introduction

Wednesdays (7-8:30pm)

Brush up your German
Brush up your Spanish
Irish Literature

Thursdays (7-8:30pm)

Greek for Beginners
Brush up your Italian
Wines of the World and Wine Appreciation
The Craft of Poetry writing
