Letterkenny Institute of Technology are hosting its virtual LYIT Engineering Expo which will exhibit 2020/2021 students’ significant projects undertaken from the Academic Year.

The exhibition takes place on Thursday 27th May at 14:00.

LYIT Engineering Expo

The event is open to all, including Prospective Employers, LYIT Engineering Graduates, LYIT Staff and those with an interest in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering.

Year 4 deliver their Research Project Findings, Year 3 convey their Design Project Machine proposals and Virtual CAD simulation Work, Year 2 present their Motion Conversion Mechanism Build Design Process and Year 1 have their proposed assistive devices for activities of daily living on display etc.

Bryan Gallagher, former Graduate of LYIT is guest speaker at the exhibition. Bryan completed his MEng in Mechanical Engineering at Queens University, went on to work for the McLaren in England as a Composite Design Engineer and now holds the position of Senior Design Engineer for Ferrari in Italy.
