13th October 2026
Est. Reading: 2 minutes

Ireland’s fourth LogisTYcs Skills Expo will take place on Thursday, 22 April 2027, at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght, Dublin. The free event is aimed at Transition Year and Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) students, offering an interactive introduction to career opportunities across transport, logistics and supply chain management.

With bookings now open, students from across Ireland are invited to discover an industry that plays a vital role in the Irish economy and is adapting to new digital technologies and greener ways of working.

Discover Careers Beyond the Classroom

Logistics and supply chain operations help ensure that goods, materials and information move efficiently between businesses and consumers. The sector offers a wide range of potential career paths, from transport planning and warehouse operations to supply chain management, technology, procurement and sustainability.

At LogisTYcs Skills Expo 2027, students will have the opportunity to meet leading employers, explore education and training pathways with colleges and training providers, and learn about apprenticeships and future employment opportunities.

Interactive activities and industry simulators will give attendees a practical insight into how the sector operates. Students can also discover how technology, data and new approaches to sustainability are changing the way transport and supply chains work.

Hydrogen-Powered Model Car Competition

A highlight of the event will be the Kinia H2GP Pro Irish Finals, featuring student teams competing in a hydrogen-powered model car challenge.

The competition offers a practical example of how engineering, innovation and sustainable technology can come together. It also connects with the wider skills needs of the transport and logistics sector as businesses respond to the digital and green transitions.

For students interested in STEM subjects, technology or environmental innovation, the event provides an opportunity to see how classroom learning can connect with real-world industries.

A Free Careers Event for TY and LCA Students

LogisTYcs Skills Expo is designed to help students explore options for life after school, including further education, training, apprenticeships and employment. Direct engagement with employers and education providers can help young people understand the qualifications and skills associated with different roles.

The event also highlights the breadth of opportunities available in an industry that is essential to Ireland's economy but may be unfamiliar to students considering their future careers.
