Higher Options 2026 will take place at the RDS Main Hall in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, from Wednesday, 16 September to Friday, 18 September 2026. The annual event gives students an opportunity to explore their options after the Leaving Certificate and speak directly with colleges, universities and education providers.

More than 150 third-level institutions, universities and colleges from Ireland, the UK, Europe and further afield are expected to take part. Students can gather information on degree courses, further education, PLC programmes and apprenticeships, giving them the chance to compare different routes before making decisions about their future.
The event also features a programme of career talks and presentations, covering a range of career paths, study advice and student experiences. These sessions can help students gain a better understanding of the courses they are considering and the opportunities available after graduation.
For students deciding what to do after school, Higher Options provides an opportunity to ask questions, meet education representatives and discover courses and career pathways they may not have previously considered.
With a wide range of exhibitors and talks taking place across the three days, students can use their visit to gather information and make more informed choices about their next step.
