GMIT Providing Free Revision Sessions for LC Accounting Students

The School of Business in GMIT is holding free revision sessions in Leaving Certificate Honours Accounting in its Galway (Dublin Road) campus during February and March.

Free Revision Sessions for Leaving Cert

The revision sessions for the Leaving Certificate Honours Accounting curriculum will take place as follows – Friday, 22 February (5–8pm), Friday, 22 March (5–8pm) and a third session for Dept of Education & Skills schools on Saturday, 23 March (9am–5pm).

GMITs’ Accounting Lecturers are highly qualified professional accountants with considerable lecturing experience, some acting as examiners and lecturers for the professional accounting bodies. The lecturers will show students how to tackle the tough questions on the paper and how best to prepare for the Leaving Certificate exams.

Lecturer Richie Hoare says: “This is a great opportunity for Leaving Cert students to come in and gain some extra knowledge about the Leaving Certificate Accounting subject. Each revision session will be based on completing exam questions while clearly explaining the process for each topic covered. Students need to bring calculators. All revision-relevant material will be handed out in the class room.”

GMIT’s School of Business is a centre for accounting education in the west of Ireland, with a range of courses that lead to undergraduate, post-graduate and professional accounting qualifications such as the Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Accounting, Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting, and the part-time Accounting Technicians Ireland – Technician Programme.
