Transition Year students interested in drama and performance can experience professional actor training this December through the GSA TY Acting Intensive at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin.
Taking place from 15–17 December 2026, the three-day programme will give students an insight into full-time actor training, with practical classes covering a range of performance disciplines. The intensive will be held at the Gaiety School of Acting in Temple Bar.
Participants will take part in sessions exploring Acting Skills, Voice, Movement, BUA, Stagecraft and other aspects of actor development. The programme is designed to introduce students to the demands and creative opportunities of professional training in a supportive learning environment.
The intensive will also provide an opportunity to meet current Gaiety School of Acting students and graduates. Through these conversations, participants can learn more about the training experience, progression routes and potential careers available within the performing arts.
With just 20 places available, the programme offers a limited opportunity for Transition Year students to explore their interest in acting and develop practical performance skills.
Applications are now open.
