Young people interested in technology will have an opportunity to explore coding, robotics, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and eSports this summer through the Engage with IT 2026 camp at Mary Immaculate College.
Taking place from 8–10 June 2026 in the college's CRAFT Maker Space, the three-day programme is designed for students aged 15 to 17 and aims to provide a practical introduction to a range of digital and technology-focused disciplines. Sponsored by the Higher Education Authority and Mary Immaculate College, the camp will feature hands-on activities that allow participants to experiment with technology in an engaging learning environment. No previous experience is required, making the programme accessible to students with a curiosity about technology and innovation.
In addition to practical workshops, participants will visit local companies that use these technologies in their day-to-day operations. The visits will offer insight into how digital skills are applied in modern workplaces and provide opportunities to meet professionals working across a variety of technology-related fields. Employees will share their career journeys and experiences, helping students gain a better understanding of the pathways available within Ireland's growing technology sector.
The camp aims to encourage young people to explore future study and career opportunities in technology while developing new skills and confidence through interactive learning experiences.
