CAO 2022 Timeline: CAO Round Zero Offers Sent Out

Today, 4,027 applicants will receive 5,156 offers for third-level places through the CAO. This “Round Zero” of offers go to certain categories of applicant who are not competing with those awaiting 2022 examination results or who are assessed on other criteria, i.e. graduate entry medicine applicants, additional mature, deferred and Access applicants and applicants presenting QQI FET/FETAC (2002-2022) for consideration for entry to courses with a quota for QQI FET/FETAC applicants may also be included at this stage.

Many courses have an entry route for applicants presenting QQI/FET but do not have a specific quota. These courses will be offering places in Round One.

CAO Round Zero Offers Sent Out

CAO spokesperson Eileen Keleghan reached out to applicants to log in to their CAO accounts and check to see if they have received a Round Zero offer.

“QQI FET/FETAC applicants who applied for a course with a quota for QQI FET applicants should also check their account. To ascertain whether your course is a QQI quota course, go to www.cao.ie/qqi and search the entry requirements section,” Keleghan said.

“Offers must be accepted by 3 pm on Wednesday next, 10 August. Failure to accept an offer by the reply date will result in the offer being cancelled”

Round One:

Offer Date: 8th September, 2022 from 14:00
Reply Date: 14th September, 2022 by 15:00

Issue of main body of offers take place after Irish Leaving Certificate Examination results become available.

Round Two:

Offer Date: 19th September, 2022 from 10:00
Reply Date: 21st September, 2022 by 15:00

Round Three:

Offer Date: 27th September, 2022 from 10:00
Reply Date: 29th September, 2022 by 15:00

Round Four:

Offer Date: 4th October, 2022 from 10:00
Reply Date: 6th October, 2022 by 15:00

Round Five:

Offer Date: 11th October, 2022 from 10:00
Reply Date: 13th October, 2022 by 15:00
