The CAO has confirmed the first round offers for college students will be available on 7th September following the announcement that the Leaving Cert results would be delayed this year.
Last week the Minister for Education Norma Foley TD announced that the 2021 Leaving Certificate results would be delivered directly to candidates through the Candidate Self Service Portal on Friday 3rd September.
On 4th June, the Minister for Higher Education, Simon Harris tweeted that the “CAO have confirmed to me that they will issue college offers on 7th September at 2pm -4 days after Leaving Cert results issue & earlier than last year. We will continue to work with colleges here and abroad to ensure timelines are all aligned & that new students don’t miss out. ”
The deadline for acceptance of round one CAO offers will be Monday, 13 September at 3pm.
CAO Round Two offers will issue on September 20, with Round Three on September 28, Round Four on October 5 and Round Five on October 12.
The written examinations begin on Wednesday 9 June and will run until 29 June.
