Atlantic Technological University (ATU) will host a Galway City Open Day on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, giving prospective students an opportunity to explore university life, discover course options and learn more about the supports available to help them succeed in higher education.
The event will take place from 11am to 1pm at ATU’s Wellpark Road location in Galway. It is designed for students who are considering their next steps after school, as well as anyone exploring further education options and potential career pathways.
Attending an open day gives prospective students the chance to go beyond course descriptions and gain a better understanding of what studying at university involves.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet academics, current students and support staff, tour facilities and ask questions about programmes, entry routes and future career opportunities. The event will also provide practical information about the Central Applications Office (CAO) process and the supports available throughout the student experience.
ATU’s open days are intended to help students make informed decisions, whether they already have a clear idea of what they want to study or are still comparing different subjects and career possibilities.
Parents and guardians are also welcome to attend, giving families an opportunity to learn more about the university and the options available.
Choosing a college and course is an important decision. Speaking directly with university staff and students can help prospective applicants understand their options, compare programmes and feel more confident about their choices.
The ATU Galway City Open Day offers a practical opportunity to gather information before making decisions about higher education.
