Courses That Award: Masters Degree
A Masters Degree is at Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications. There are two varieties of Masters Degree. You can study a taught Masters, which is awarded after you finish a one (or two) year long programme. The majority of people embarking on a taught Masters Degree will already have an Honours Bachelor Degree. It can be the case, however, that students with Ordinary Bachelor Degrees can be admitted. The research Masters Degree programmes are different in that they favour self-driven study and last two years. Institutes of Technology, Quality and Qualifications Ireland, and Universities are able to teach the Masters Degree.
