Mary Immaculate College has announced six new four-year teacher education programmes, all approved by the Teaching Council and designed to qualify graduates to teach their selected subjects.
The new programmes will be available from September 2027, giving students interested in a career in teaching additional subject combinations to consider when making their CAO choices.
MI023 – BA in Education, Home Economics and Gaeilge
MI024 – BA in Education, Home Economics and Mathematics
MI025 – BA in Education, Home Economics and Accounting
MI026 – BA in Education, Mathematics and Religious Studies
MI027 – BA in Education, Mathematics and Accounting
MI028 – BA in Education, Gaeilge and Accounting
The four-year programmes combine teacher education with specialist study in two teaching subjects. As Teaching Council-approved programmes, successful graduates will be qualified in their selected subjects for teaching.
For students considering teaching as a career, the new courses provide additional options when planning for the 2027 CAO application cycle.
