Aims
This programme has been specifically designed for learners who wish to pursue a career as a Montessori teacher for children in the age range 3-6 years. In addition it provides learners with the all important ECCE Level 6 qualification which enables the centre they are working in to qualify for the free pre school year ECCE scheme. This award covers in depth the six main Montessori disciplines: Theory & Practice, Practical Life, Mathematics, Language, Sensorial and Culture.
Entry Requirements
A minimum Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate standard of education. Mature applicants with relevant life/work experience. Proficiency in English language and IELTS score of 5 recommended together with a strong interest in the provision of quality care and education for children.
Students are required to obtain 110 hours of work practice in an ECCE setting.
