Night Time Degree BA Local Studies

NUI Maynooth offer this upcoming Night Time Degree BA Local Studies course.

The BA in Local Studies (Social Sciences) is specifically designed for adult students who are interested in pursuing a part-time evening degree in the Arts/Humanities. This flexible degree has been developed for people who are busy with work, family and daily life. If you are interested in history, politics, the environment, development, adult education, society and culture, and you have two free evenings a week, then you should consider this wide-ranging degree.

8 of the University’s academic departments come together to create the only degree of its kind in Ireland. If you are curious about how people interacted with their environment in the past and how this impacted on their culture and identity in ways that are still felt today, then the BA in Local Studies should be of interest to you.

Students will have the opportunity to learn together through our Common Modules where history, geography, adult education, sociology and anthropology bring their unique disciplinary insights to bear on culture, society, landscape, politics and more. This unique adult focused degree provides students with the study skills and student supports that allows them to complete their studies at their own pace.

Applications for the Part-Time BA in Local Studies and BA in Community Studies (MH803) through the CAO will be accepted through the CAO Available Places Facility from 20 August 2019.  For more information visit CAO on line at: https://www.cao.ie/
