Heavy Goods Vehicle Driving (Rigid) Killarney



This course is designed to provide the transport industry with category C licenced drivers of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) with rigid bodies.

Entry RequirementsApplicants must be 18+ years of age on entry to the course. Junior certificate standard of education or equivalent. Mature applicant route available for applicants aged 23+. Competent written and spoken English (CEFR B1 or Higher). Non-EU/EEA applicants must have permission to work in Ireland. Hold a current full Category B driving licence. Hold a current Category C learner permit. Van or light truck driving experience is desirable. Only applicants who complete a successful interview and CAB test will be considered for this course. NOTE: Applicants must present a valid B licence and a HGV (C) learner permit so their application may be processed.
Carear PathHGV drivers are employed by raw material suppliers, manufacturers, distribution companies, major retail chains, supermarkets and road haulage firms etc. They collect, transport and deliver goods locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
