Course Description

CK 405 Genetics

CK405 UCC has an international reputation for research in Biotechnology and Biomedicine. The introduction of a related undergraduate programme was a natural development of this expertise. The Genetics degree programme is run by the Departments of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Ecology and Plant Science, and the College of Medicine and Health. The programme aims to produce graduates who have a strong foundation in modern Genetics. There is a particular emphasis on the molecular basis of the subject, but all facets of Genetics are covered in the degree.
